whats the good word

Ok so im working on this stage 2 but i seem to have encountered a few factual issues. So that'll take some time. In the meanwhile, here's something to keep you busy.... The suffix X derives from a certain 1970s event in the United States. The suffix is used to embellish a noun or name to suggest the existence of a far-reaching scandal, particularly in politics and government. The suffix may also "suggest unethical behaviour and a cover-up". Such usages have been criticised by commentators as clichéd and misleading. The adoption of X to suggest the existence of a scandal was promoted by William Safire, the conservative New York Times columnist and former Nixon administration speechwriter. Id X. brownie points for getting the event.

Boom Boom Boom.

X is an MIT alumnus. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and later a PhD on the same. After graduation, he took up a job at MIT as Assistant Professor. During his time as a professor, he bought an instrument that he was completely dissatisfied with, this motivated him to improve said instrument, and others of it's kind. After many years of research, he started a now very well known company Y, his family-name/ last-name.
Y has a large number of patents and trademarks and the best company in it's line. X remained Assistant Professor at MIT until 2001 and in 2011, out of great love and respect for his alumni he donated majority of Y's non-voting shares to MIT on condition that the shares can never be sold.

Originally this Finnish band called itself 'Inearthed', but the record label said they needed to change their name. After going through the local phone records for names without any luck, they stumbled upon the name, lake __________. They thought the name was impactful and also had a story behind it. A multiple homicide had taken place beside this lake in 1960 involving four teenagers, three of whom were murdered. As the lake was quite close to the the city of Espoo, from where the band members came, they decided to call themselves X partly dedicating the name to the infamous incident. Whats X or FITB.

Pretty Simple. And Prabhat, you give fictional places like these.

X is a fictional region, meaning "castle palace" and "lattice shaped palace". This region is connected to the western part of the region in the original series, Y. X is geographically similar to Kansai, eastern Shikoku and western Tokai regions of Japan. Y represents eastern Tokai. All cities in Y are named after colors while the names of the cities in X are either plant themed or colors. The cities of X are old fashioned cities reminiscent of Nara and Kyoto and modern commercial city reminiscent of Osaka.

The one exception to the rule was X. The rule states the requirement for making it into the list Y released every year by Z. Z had said that X had been an "irresistable" addition although he has been absent from the list since 2006 after Z received letters from children protesting his inclusion(don't get the wrong opinion here). Apologies if its too arbit, but probably as interesting as it can be put. X,Y,Z?

Day appropriate

X is a system of sort. The origins of X are believed to be medieval French. It is possible that a clock face was used, with a quarter move of the hand to indicate X. A few changes were made to make X stay within the 60 ticks of the clock face. This is only one of the theories of origin. X also involves usage of Y for representing Z which is also disputed. It is possible that the usage of Y comes from the French expression for the word "the egg". There is also another theory which is the most widely accepted, which i also find quite funny, but i wont tell it now cause it'll give away the answer. Sure some of you out there would have wondered about the peculiarity of X sometime or the other. Give me X,Y,Z.

Donkey Kong, bitch.

Corning, while experimenting, invented X in the 1960's, but since then had found no practical use for X, so it was never put into mass production. In 2006, a company Y was in the process of invention something "revolutionary of it's kind", Y's CEO while using a prototype of their said product, found that he greatly disliked it's flimsy plastic finish. He called Wendell Weeks, the CEO of Corning to find a replacement for the plastic, Weeks mentions the dead-end project of the 1960's that involved X. Y's CEO was so impressed he asked Weeks to put X into mass production immediately to release their product in June the next year. After the critical acclaim of it's product, all of Y's competitors started to incorporate X in their products.

He just cant remember what actually happened..

The first origin account,  revealed that X had once been a criminal known as the Red Hood. In the story, he is a chemical engineer looking to steal from the company that employs him and adopts the persona of Red Hood. After committing the theft, which Y thwarts, he falls into a vat of chemical waste. He emerges with a persistent grin.

The most widely cited backstory, depicts him as originally being an engineer at a chemical plant who quits his job to become a stand-up comedian, only to fail miserably. Desperate to support his pregnant wife Jeannie, he agrees to help two criminals break into the plant where he was formerly employed to get to the card company next door. In this version of the story, the Red Hood persona is given to the inside man of every job (thus it is never the same man twice); this makes the man appear to be the ringleader, allowing the two criminals to escape. During the planning, police contact him and inform him that his wife and unborn child have died in a household accident.
Stricken with grief, he attempts to back out of the plan, but the criminals strong-arm him into keeping his promise. As soon as they enter the plant, however, they are immediately caught by security and a shoot-out ensues, in which the two criminals are killed. As the engineer tries to escape, he is confronted by Y, who is investigating the disturbance. Terrified, the engineer leaps over a rail and plummets into a pound lock of chemicals. These events, coupled with his other misfortunes that day, results in the birth of X. This origin is supported when Y performs chemical tests on the Red Hood he recovered from the chemical plant during his first investigation into X. X's Red Hood identity is further confirmed when X finds an old Red Hood costume he kept and puts it on to help his recovery after the events of A Death in the Family.

The story "Pushback" supports part of this version of X's origin story. In it, a witness recounts that X's wife was kidnapped and murdered by a corrupt cop working for the criminals in order to force the engineer into performing the crime. X attempts to find the corrupt cop who committed the murder, but after his henchmen are murdered by Prometheus, only to be beaten badly by Hush, then expelled from ______ before this takes place. "Payback" also shows pictures of X — identified as "Jack" — with his wife, giving further support to this version.

ID X and Y (the blank is a place blanked out for obvious reasons).

Supernatural....

Ok, I've been on a supernatural high lately, and with the kinda of things that i've read. It was just too tempting for me to not frame a question. Ok here goes....

X is a popular song by Y. Y was accused of dabbling in the occult and was caught up in some pretty crazy controversies. Now X itself is a reference to the occult. X speaks of a man who could speak to the gods and who took upon himself to spread the word of god amongst the commoners. X founded the pseudo-religion Z (I say pseudo, cause believe me this is one weird religion), believing himself to be the prophet of the new age.
Shown above is the popular symbol of Z. X claimed to have recieved the book of Law from an entity called Aiwass, whose first appearance of Aiwass was during the Three Days of the writing of Liber Legis. X belonged to a very famous rock band and cited as the pioneers of heavy metal. Ironically X was booted out form the band because of his heavy drug abuse and alcohol. X was inducted into UK hall of fame both as a solo artist and as a member of his previous band.
X was also awarded the living legend award in classic rock and roll of honor, whose past recipients include, Alice cooper, Jimmy page and slash.

Identify X and Y , pretty simple really but cherry points for Z (i mean real cherry) . Identify Z and it is worth twice X and Y combined.
Also don't google .... cause it pretty much turns up results on the first line. Try X and Y without the google and after you answer i recommend you read up about Z... That is some pretty crazy occult stuff....

Say what.....................

The ___________ line is a 10-km long defensive line made of dragon's teeth that was built during the second World War between Bassins and Prangins, in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. These lines of defensive blocks can be found all over Switzerland, but more predominantly in border areas. Their purpose was to stop tank invasions. The 2,700 9-ton concrete blocks that make up the defences are similar to the shape of __________, which gave its name to the line. Since the line has been left to nature since its construction, it was decided to keep these concrete blocks and to make a hiking trail along their route. A picture is given below. Both blanks are the same. FITB

Utterly, butterly, delicious?...........uh not quite

X was founded by X Gandhi the great grandfather of Virendra R. Gandhi, Rajesh R. Gandhi and Devanshu L. Gandhi, when he started a soda fountain. He passed on the business to his son, Ranchod Lal, who ran a one-man operation, and, with a hand cranked machine, started a small retail outlet in 1926. Eventually, Ranchod Lal's sons,Ramchandra and Lakshman, inherited the business and they were instrumental in giving a new direction to the company. The duo imparted a new vision to the venture and infused a spirit of calculated risk-taking into the firm. As a result, by the 1970s, X had already evolved into a modern corporate entity. From a small outlet in Ahmedabad over 80 years back, X Industries Ltd has today emerged as India’s second largest player in the Y industry. The company is also one of the largest processed food players in India with significant exports of frozen vegetables and ready to eat snacks, curries and breads. "I am constant..."

According to Greek Mythology, Zeus, the king of the gods, seeks an affair with a young woman named 'A'. His wife, and sister (yeah, NOT my imagination) Hera noticed this and curses 'A' turning her into a bear.
It happened so that 'A' had a son named 'B'. On a hunt, 'B' encounters 'A' in the form of a bear, unaware that the bear is his own mother, 'B' goes for the kill. Zeus sees this and intervenes and transforms 'B' into a bear. Realizing that 'A' and 'B' are not safe, he grabs them by their tails and sends them up to the heavens.
Hera, who is still angry asks her foster parents, Oceanus and Tethys (who is also Oceanus' sister by the way. I know, Greeks right?) to allow them to never bathe in the oceans again and thus forever unable to drop below the horizon.
We know of 'A' and 'B' by their Latin names meaning Larger Bear and Smaller bear respectively. Points for the Latin names, and I don't know how the point system works but Bonus for A & B.

How fast is too fast?

The word “X” has been in use since the 18th century. Although the origins of the word are unclear it is believed to have originated from criminal slang for something that was fast as lightening.
From there, it moved into popular usage to describe quick things. In the 19th century, Gilbert Newton Lewis–an American chemist was the first to apply the term “X” to technical endeavors. He used “X” to stand in for the time it took light to travel one centimeter (approximately 33.4 picoseconds).
After Lewis’s application, the term crept into usage in other scientific pursuits. In electronics an “X” is the time between alternating power cycles (1/60th of a second for most systems). In computing, an "X" is one tick of the system timer (as such, a computing “X” is not a fixed unit of time but an OS/hardware dependent unit of time). In astro and quantum physics, an "X" is the time it takes light to travel one fermi (the width of a nucleon) and amounts to 3 × 10^-24 seconds
Although “X” has established itself in multiple scientific communities, it was hardly constrained to use by the technically inclined. Anytime you see an “X” Lube oil shop, “X” Pop popping corn you're seeing a 300 year old word alive and well in modern use.

Arrrrr.....Arrrr.....Arrrr...........

X is a three word idiom for the bottom of the sea: the state of death among drowned sailors. It is also used as a euphemism for death at sea. The origins of the name are unclear and many theories have been put forward. Though the earliest known reference of the phrase dates back to 1726, its still very much in use today. Notable usage of this concept in the entertainment world include references in Pirates of the Caribbean and also in SpongeBob Squarepants. X? Answer- The idiom is Davy Jones' locker.
