So there was this guy by name Ross Bagdasarian Sr. who released a novelty song in 1958 under the name David Seville, which dealt with how he was unsuccessful at love until he meets a witch doctor who tells him "what to do" to woo his woman by exclaiming "Oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" which appeared four times as the chorus of the song. Now to the question, there was "something" in those exclamations made by the witch doctor, not in the lyrics but the way in which it was said. Now that "something" Bagdasarian would use that very year to create X.
Here's a clue, once John Lennon made an infamous statement saying that the Beatles had become "more popular than Jesus", now X during its peak popularity made a spoof of that very statement in a documentary, saying that it had become more popular than Mickey Mouse. Thats should tell you on what lines you should think. Id X. Bonus for telling me how the song helped in creating X.
