Once you pop, the fun don't stop.

Procter & Gamble chose the name 'X' from a Cincinnati telephone book,
having been inspired by 'X' Drive in Finneytown, Ohio, due to its pleasing sound.

According to the patent, X were invented by Alexander Liepa of Montgomery, Ohio.
Gene Wolfe developed the machine that makes them.

'X' were first sold in the United States in October 1968, and
distributed nationally by the mid-1970s.

Here's a funny fact.
Their consistent saddle shape of X is mathematically known as a
hyperbolic paraboloid. It has been reported that their design is aided by supercomputers.

Identify X.

The Hijli Detention Camp, located in Hijli in the district of Midnapore West, West Bengal, India, was significant in the struggle against the British Raj in the early 20th century. It was the second one created by the British Government. It was closed in 1937 and was reopened in 1940. In 1942 the camp was again closed and the detainees were transferred elsewhere. The first ______ was established here in May 1950. After completion of the renovation, India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru had this to say at the fist convocation address at ______ in 1956 -
"Here in the place of that Hijli Detention Camp stands the fine monument of India, representing India's urges, India's future in the making. This picture seems to me symbolical of the changes that are coming to India."
Give me "______"

Etymology....

this word means an external free-standing building constructed as a monument...the origin of this word goes like this - some king of asia minor was ruling over a very small kingdom..he was dearly loved by his wife. when he died, the queen was heart-broken and she decided to build him the world's most splendid tomb!! she sent for the most talented artists from greece and personally supervised the work. the result was something unique. this thing was to be given a name only centuries later and historians realized that it was the first if its kind and named it after the king! which word?? and if you crack the king, you're awesome....!!

PS- the meaning of the word isn't given completely..that would be a giveaway!!

Now, that's a Fake.

This is a still of a very famous video.

"Anyway, I'm here with Katherine Hepburn's mom..."

Annie Edson Taylor had to secure her later years financially so she decided to do something. On October 24th 1901, her 63rd birthday she successfully accomplished that something. She is said to have accomplished it along with her lucky heart-shaped pillow. Well, technically her cat was the first to do it, she used her cat as a test run. It took her a little less than twenty minutes to accomplish this feat. What did she do??

Apple's Evil Twin?

Well, not really.

Back in 2005, Troika, the British-based art collective that was behind the Heathrow Terminal 5 sculpture that some of you recently described as a "disco turd," created this (the picture). It came on a little USB key that looked like a cross between a malevolent Apple and Pac Man and was aimed at, well, people like you or I, who spend far too much time fiddling around on their computers.

So, what is this thing?

I can give you a hint, let's say... Gravity?

"I just saw it yesterday...."

This project was originally titled as "Insomnia Cafe". The creators proposed this idea to Bright, with an initial Seven page project.

The main people associated with it won accolades of awards for their work and the project itself is still widely recognized.

The people associated themselves were actually chosen for different roles in the project but ended up working under a different role.

Early responses to the project was mixed. The Cleveland Plain Dealer called it "vague and likely to be less successful than its kind".
"Its a wanna be of "y" but it can never be as successful" said one reporter who was proved wrong time and again.

The phenomenon itself created more "micro-phenomenon" throughout the world.
Psychology analysts claimed that "Never has anything had such great impact on the national psych".

There were similar spin offs of the project but were not able to meet the standards of the original project.

What am i talking about?

"I like-a Sing-a......"

"X" was an american singer and actor...... Before you jump to conclusion he is really famous so read on.

His career began during the swing era, with the biggest names of those times. He was to become a sensation among the upper class within years to come.

Women coveted him and men were jealous of his success(in a good way). He stared in a Emmy winning Television special about himself when he was 50.

In his later years his popular only declined and he appeared in many poorly received films and retired shortly . Two years later however he came out of retirement and recorded many recorded breaking albums and toured internationally until his death soon after.

Who am i talking about?

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

"X" was a term originally used to describe a group of popular young actors of hollywood. The name is said to have originated from the regular hangout place of "X" or because of the fact that they did actually look like "X".

According to "Y" there were 7 "X" masters and 7 other visiting members of the original "X".

The sixties included one or two of the earlier members but were mostly other young actors who were at that time in the fore of lime light, due to their ravishing good looks and acting skills.
Not Surprisingly, Marilyn Monroe was inevitably associated with this phenomenon.

Ocean's eleven is a classic example of this phenomenon.
Identify "X" and it be really cool , if you also identify the 7 members of the original "X" atleast 3 of the famous ones.

How Artsy are you?

"X" is a highly respected award associated with art, down south. It is issued by the trustees of a certain organization "Y". It is awarded annually and as of the present it stands at 50,000 dollars.

Interestingly however the first instance of this award is said to be only 400 dollars. This award has been a subject of controversy, in the recent years because of its blatant disregard of artistic standards and spirit of art.

The selection process was made into a closed format , where the signature of the artist is omitted so as not to favor the artists. In 1935 two additional award categories were introduced, in order to make it more diverse.

In 1994 a parody of this award was started at the coolac festival of fun, with a humorous take on the awards, name.

Crack this one..........

So there was this guy by name Ross Bagdasarian Sr. who released a novelty song in 1958 under the name David Seville, which dealt with how he was unsuccessful at love until he meets a witch doctor who tells him "what to do" to woo his woman by exclaiming "Oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" which appeared four times as the chorus of the song. Now to the question, there was "something" in those exclamations made by the witch doctor, not in the lyrics but the way in which it was said. Now that "something" Bagdasarian would use that very year to create X.
Here's a clue, once John Lennon made an infamous statement saying that the Beatles had become "more popular than Jesus", now X during its peak popularity made a spoof of that very statement in a documentary, saying that it had become more popular than Mickey Mouse. Thats should tell you on what lines you should think. Id X. Bonus for telling me how the song helped in creating X.

Ahhhh... That feels good

"X" is a company that was the first to introduce a concept.
Later the concept was intricately linked with the name of the company itself.
It was started by seven brothers whose family name was "X".
One of the brothers is known to make aircraft propellors.
They created a company called "X" brothers.
Their product changed over the years from air craft propellors to something popular that is incorporated in many relaxation centers everywhere.
What is "X"?

Har di Har

"X" is a common name given to all such corresponding artworks of same kind associated with a concept.
The "X" is largely exploited in various high power, and high voltage regions and generally to signify ill will or doom.
Originally it has its roots to a British captain who is credited for "X" near 18th century.

The term itself date further back in time to popular works of a lesser known author (whose name i shall not reveal, because google knows him well) who incorporated this name into his most popular book about the concept in question.

In the US Army four squadrons of the Fifth air force under George C Kenny is named "X"

What is "X"?

Little talks, Big memories

The completion of "X" is a matter of great controversy. "X" represents the first works that highlighted the evolution of language leading to modern day english.
No work prior to "X" from even the greatest artists( and i use the words artist loosely so don't think painter) is known to have its unique structure and way of presentation,
The works of Giovanni Boccaccio contains more parallels to "X" then any work of art in history.

Characters in "X" each express different—sometimes vastly different—views of reality, creating an atmosphere of relativism. As Helen Cooper says, "Different genres give different readings of the world: the fabliau scarcely notices the operations of God, the saint's life focuses on those at the expense of physical reality, tracts and sermons insist on prudential or orthodox morality, romances privilege human emotion." The sheer number of varying persons and stories renders "X" as a set unable to arrive at any definite truth or reality.

What am I Talking about?

How Fit are U?

"X" was a fitness regime developed in the 20th century it got is name from the creator of the technique.
The creator "Y" called it as "m"ology, which was a derivative of two greek words, which signified control.
It is believed that "X" exploits the mind to develop the body.
It aims at strengthening the core muscles to make the spine erect. "X" exploits awareness of breath and alignment of spine to strengthen torso muscles.
Its main foundations are, Alignment breathing centering Concentration control and precision
Identify "X" and "Y"

And just saying..... the answer is NOT yoga .
